Catholic Youth Organization
St. Michael’s recognizes that our youth are our future! The youth of our parish come together to celebrate their lives in spiritual, social, cultural, and service activities. Our CYO is made up of students grades 7-12. Todd and Suzanne McGee are the organization’s adult sponsors. The CYO meetings are announced in the bulletin and are usually held in the CYO room in the gymnasium after 10am mass. Be on the lookout for the next meeting where upcoming activities are discussed!
The CYO comes together to sing with the choir on Youth Sundays (third Sunday of each month), work the local Soup Kitchen, perform the annual Christmas Play, and enjoy each others company through other fun events, outings, and service opportunities. Some of our 2018 activities have included assisting with children’s games at church picnics, trip to Gatlinburg, trunk or treat event for the younger children, Eucharistic Youth Congress, and CROSS retreat.
Please encourage any youth of appropriate age to attend the CYO functions and meetings! If you have a child who may be interested or if you are an adult interested in serving as a CYO volunteer, please contact Suzanne McGee with any questions.
